LINK Community Program: Project Management

The LINK community program is a dynamic community collaboration project connecting local corporates and the existing inner-city neighbourhoods of Millers Point and The Rocks. The aim of the partnership is to create tangible social value and positive community outcomes, as well as engendering strong bonds between local residents and professionals.

With volunteers from Lendlease, ARUP and Westpac, the program works with Fort Street Public School, the Millers Point Community Centre, Sydney Secondary College, and other local organisations to promote literacy and numeracy, training, skilling, and other community works. The program (originally known as the Millers Point Partnership) also formed a key part of the successful Barangaroo South bid and project, including the creation of the Skills Hub at Barangaroo South.

My role as Program Director from 2013–2015 included strategic repositioning and branding, analysis and system restructuring to improve community satisfaction and greatly improve volunteer attendance, alongside ongoing communications and project management. The new LINK model was then utilised across other Lendlease projects, including the schools program at Darling Harbour Live.

You can see me speaking about some aspects of the program here.
